September 8: First ELS General Meeting at NOON in room C6. Come by for pizza and a general overview of what we are planning for the year.

2010-2011 events are still being planned.  See below for some of last year’s events

August 25: Fall All-School Barbecue.  Look for the ELS table.

September 1: First ELS meeting.  There are two meetings to accomadate night students and conflicting schedules.  First meeting is at 12:00-12:50 in C5; Second meeting is at 5:20-6:20 in C3.

September 17: ELS fundraiser at Waid’s Haitian Lounge (1212 E. Jefferson St.).  ELS gets $1 for every well drink purchased.  Come support ELS, meet new people, and relax a little bit.

September 30: KCBA Environmental Law and Land Use Section  brown bag CLE on bioenergy.  Graham Noyes from Stoel Rives will present an overview of biomass energy and the relevant laws attorneys must deal with when helping clients in this emerging industry.  The CLE is at Garvey Schubert Barer (1191 Second Ave, Suite 1800) at 12:30pm.

October 5-October 9: ELS is the student organization of the week in the Prolific Reporter.  Look for our article.

October 13: As part of Social Justice Week, ELS is having a panel discussion on climate change at 12:30 in room 328.  Eric Laschever from Stoel Rives will be on the panel, and we are working on filling the rest of the panel.  Check back soon for a complete list of panel participants.

October 12-October 16: Seattle University School of Law Social Justice Week.

October 17: Seattle University School of Law Day of Service

December 9: Fifth Annual KCBA Environmental Law CLE.  Starts at 8:30am at the Rainier Conference Center.

March 2010: Public Interest Environmental Law Conference at the University of Oregon School of Law
